Venture into the heart of the Arctic Circle for an unforgettable experience at Aurora Spirit, the world’s northernmost distillery.
One of our experienced staff members will guide you through the process of manufacturing various types of spirits, such as vodka, aquavit, gin and whisky. You’ll do a deep dive into making whisky in the Arctic, combining local ingredients with modern distillation techniques.
Part of this tour takes place outside (walking between buildings) and spending time in cold warehouses. We recommend to bring adequate clothing for this.
During this exciting guided tour, you will see, feel and smell Arctic ingredients.
The tour includes a tasting of three Bivrost spirits.
Lunch for the 12:00 tour is served after the tour at 13:00
Lunch for the 14:00 tour is served before the tour at 13:30
DURATION: ca. 1 hour
VISITING: Still house, Production, Viking warehouse
TASTE: 3 different Bivrost products

- We cannot serve tastings of spirits to guests under the age of 20 due to Norwegian law.
- We are unable to sell bottles of our whisky, gin or other spirits directly from the distillery due to Norwegian law.

Directions:
Aurora Spirit Distillery is located close to the Lyngen fjord – under the majestic Lyngen Alps in Northern Norway. The distillery is located at 69 degrees N.
The nearest airport is Langnes Airport , Tromsø. From Tromsø you can drive either:
– via Nordkjosbotn ( E8 – then E6 ) and turn off from Oteren towards Lyngseidet (868), or
– via Breivikeidet ( Turn off at Fagernes – route no. 91 ) by ferry across the Ullsfjord
Both roads are signposted towards Lyngseidet.
When you get to Lyngseidet, follow the road towards Koppangen (approx. 10 km). Aurora Spirit Distillery is located on the right side of the road.
